Hello, I’m Rasheeda Henry, a passionate and empathetic relationship and sex therapist providing support in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and virtually across Ontario. My mission is to guide and empower my clients through the complexities of relationships with themselves and others, especially when it comes to desire and sexuality. Relationships require vulnerability, and so does discussing intimate topics like sex. I understand the importance of feeling safe and supported when navigating these sensitive areas. In our sessions, I strive to create a space where you can openly express your desires and fears, knowing that I am here to listen without judgment. With a background in supporting couples, I can help you unlock the power of effective communication, allowing you and your partner to build stronger connections and mutually fulfilling relationships. If anxiety or self-esteem issues arise in the bedroom, we will explore ways you can regain confidence and enjoy a more fulfilling sexual experience. Behind my practices lies an extensive experience working with diverse populations, including vulnerable individuals such as children, young people, and victims of crime. This experience has shaped my ability to employ a trauma-informed lens, ensuring that we address any triggers associated with past traumas with care and sensitivity. I have completed trainings and gained certificates in various therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Additionally, I have furthered my understanding of sexual and gender issues through my enrollment in ISEE. This has allowed me to expand my vocabulary and knowledge on working effectively with individuals of diverse sexual identities and relationships. When working with me, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment. I am here to meet you where you are on your journey, offering guidance and understanding every step of the way. Together, we will work towards creating healthier, more fulfilling relationships and a stronger sense of self. I enjoy staying active and prioritizing my wellness. I love exploring new restaurants and discovering new flavors, although I have to admit, I have a bit of a sweet tooth! I have even challenged myself by participating in a 5k race and have my sights set on running the Disney Marathon in the future. As a lifelong learner, I am currently learning Spanish and have aspirations to learn French and Korean. If you feel I would be a good fit for you, Book here!

Amanda is a compassionate spiritual psychotherapist devoted to helping individuals navigate the complexities of being a human in their own individual experiences holding a sacred and respectful space for all that arises while working together. She firmly believes that every person is shaped by their environment and that everyone enters this world with a unique purpose and inherently good intentions. It is through the human condition that trauma arises by way of experiences which can sometimes lead people away from their path of self-actualization. Amanda is here to remind them of their whole self and guide them on their journey to acceptance and healing.

Amanda understands that it takes immense courage to seek help during times of struggle and great strength to be vulnerable with another human being. She feels deeply honoured to sit with individuals in these moments and holds profound respect for the complexities of their lived experiences and recognize the function they served to support the individual at certain timelines in their lifetime. She recognizes that struggles can manifest in various forms, often overwhelming and isolating, but believes that the process of counselling offers a unique way to identify those layers of conditioning and false beliefs that inhibit the embodiment of one’s True Self. She supports clients find another way as an opportunity to heal, clarify values, and align behaviours in a way that brings meaning and purpose to one’s life.

Currently completing her Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Spirituality at St Stephens College, Amanda takes a collaborative and existential approach to counselling. She recognizes that each individual is the expert in their own life and lived experiences. Her goal is to empower those she works with to recognize their innate value, focus on their strengths, and build both inner and external resources. Amanda hopes to assist individuals in achieving their goals by fostering hope, developing coping skills, and nurturing resilience.

Beyond her professional work, Amanda values the importance of engaging in activities that bring joy and restoration. She finds peace in nature through gardening, walking with her dog, and reading a good book outdoors. She also enjoys somatic practices such as yoga, meditation, paddle-boarding, skiing, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Amanda’s approach is rooted in the belief that, despite life’s challenges, growth and enlightenment are always within reach. Through her guidance, she seeks to help others reconnect with their true purpose and navigate their journey with hope and resilience.
